Tourism authorities deploy generative, location-aware AI guides for visitors
Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority signed a three-year deal (Jul 2026) to roll the NiVU AI guide (voice and text, 130+ languages, location-based suggestions) across 100+ sites after a temple pilot. Singapore's STB is testing GenAI visitor tools (Jan 2026), and Ilhabela (SP) launched the generative guide Mar.IA (Jul 2025). Platforms offer the same layer (Google's Talking Tours). Destinations are choosing whether to own the narrative layer or rent it.
